Read moreSimon Goldring advises clients on a wide range of international private wealth and tax matters. He acts for a variety of clients ranging from ultra high net worth individuals, family offices and entrepreneurs to multi-national corporations both in the UK and internationally including South Africa, Latin America, the Far East and the Middle East.
Simon undertakes all types of private client work including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, domestic trusts and income and capital tax planning. Internationally, Simon advises on residence and domicile planning and structuring both inbound and outbound. From a corporate perspective, he advises on the tax structuring of companies both domestic and international including tax efficient exit strategies for business owners. Simon has worked at various prominent international firms based in the UK and has been head of multiple private client and tax practices.
Simon has strong credentials as a tax lawyer receiving an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) and holds honours as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and trust and estates practitioner (TEP).
Advised Bermudan trust company on a multi-million pound dispute with HMRC and successfully concluded a nil settlement with HMRC
Acting for the family office of one of the wealthiest individuals in the world on his potential move to the UK
Acting for the investment advisor of various trusts established by a member of a Middle Eastern ruling family and advising on restructuring options including the establishment of a family office
Advising the family office of a member of the Saudi royal family as to the multi-billion dollar structuring of his international affairs
Advising Jersey trustees on the termination of an offshore structure for a UK domiciled and resident individual
When not working, Simon likes to spend time with his wife and children and watching his favourite team, Chelsea.
