Amjad Sheikh is a commercial property solicitor with more than 20 years’ post-qualification experience advising businesses, developers, investors and lenders across a broad range of real estate transactions.
He advises on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, landlord and tenant matters, commercial leases, property development, secured lending, option agreements, overage arrangements and portfolio management. He also has extensive experience acting for bridging lenders and borrowers in connection with development finance, including the property aspects of secured lending transactions.

Amjad's Experience
- Acted for a bridging lender on numerous secured lending transactions involving debentures, legal charges and development finance, advising on all real estate aspects of the security package.
- Advised developers on the acquisition of commercial sites for residential redevelopment, including conditional contracts, option agreements and overage arrangements.
- Regularly advises landlords and tenants on the negotiation of commercial leases, lease renewals, licences to assign, deeds of variation, surrenders and rent deposit arrangements.
- Acted on acquisitions and disposals of investment properties and commercial premises for companies, pension funds and private investors.
- Advises SME business owners on property aspects of corporate transactions, including business sales, occupational issues and ongoing portfolio management.
Outside work, Amjad Sheikh enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, reading, cooking and archery. He enjoys discovering new places and experiences, whether exploring different cultures through travel or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
