We are pleased to welcome new partner Amjad Sheikh, the latest arrival in Excello’s fast-growing Real Estate team. He joins from national firm Geldards LLP.
Amjad is a commercial property solicitor with more than 20 years’ post-qualification experience advising businesses, developers, investors and lenders across a broad range of real estate transactions.
He advises on the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, landlord and tenant matters, commercial leases, property development, secured lending, option agreements, overage arrangements and portfolio management. He also has extensive experience acting for bridging lenders and borrowers in connection with development finance, including the property aspects of secured lending transactions.
“Joining Excello was the natural next step in my career,” Amjad says.
“The consultant model gives me the independence to run my practice in a way that puts my clients first. It allows me to adapt my service to each client’s needs, provide direct access to me throughout a transaction and deliver practical, commercially focused advice without the constraints that can sometimes come with a traditional law firm.
Backed by Excello’s experienced lawyers and excellent support network, I can offer clients the best of both worlds – a personal service with the resources of a national firm.
Being a consultant lawyer means having the independence to build a practice centred around clients’ needs while maintaining the support of an established national law firm. It allows me to provide a more personal, responsive service, develop long-term relationships and focus on delivering practical legal advice that genuinely adds value to my clients’ businesses.”
