Excello Law records 22% growth in latest financials, announces New York office opening

Multinational fee-share firm Excello Law has confirmed a rise in revenue to £36.6 million in the financial year 2025/2026, a 22% increase on the previous 12 months.

The latest figures arrive as the firm takes its US expansion into New York, appointing Mitchell Breit as NY Managing Partner to lead the launch and work with the firm’s management team to build its presence in one of the world’s most important business markets. The New York launch follows the successful opening of Excello Law’s office in California.

Operating in the UK, USA and UAE, Excello is one of the fastest-growing firms operating a consultancy model, differentiated by the strength and depth of its support services and the flexibility offered to lawyers in how they market themselves, including as part of the ever-more-popular House of Brands offering.

Growth in the financial year ending June 2026 was particularly strong in the firm’s corporate and commercial teams, now accounting for 28% of firmwide revenue.

George Bisnought, CEO and founder of Excello, comments: “We are delighted to confirm these latest results, a testament to the hard work of our lawyers and the brilliant support staff that make the Excello difference possible. As we take a landmark step in our US journey with the addition of a New York team, and embrace the latest developments in technology through innovations such as an AI-enhanced referrals program, we will continue to focus on what makes Excello different: unmatched support services for our lawyers, and a culture built on collaboration rather than internal competition.”

Rising through the ranks

The latest figures see Excello rising to #123 in The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the UK’s largest 200 firms by revenue, up from #134 the previous year.

In its new report, The Lawyer highlights how Excello offers top-tier infrastructure to support lawyers’ back office operations. It also notes the success of the Excello House of Brands platform, “to equip lawyers with limited experience of running their own firms with the necessary tools to transition to independent law firms as and when they desire.”

Central to the firm’s success is the Excello 360 support model, giving each lawyer tailored access to a full law firm infrastructure, including a dedicated team of more than 40 professionals in compliance, finance, IT and marketing. The firm also offers support with business development and transition assistance, ensuring lawyers can focus on their clients from day one.

New York opening

Establishing a New York team led by Mitchell Breit, Excello extends its US footprint and creates a base for further growth, as the firm continues to develop its international presence and bring its model to new markets.

Mitchell is a highly distinguished lawyer whose credentials reflect exceptional leadership, expertise, and influence within the legal profession. Formerly a senior partner at a leading New York law firm, Mitchell has been consistently recognized among New York Super Lawyers for more than a decade and has earned inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for multiple consecutive years, including 2026.

Commenting on his move, Mitchell Breit said:

“I have been immensely impressed with what Excello Law has built, and I am delighted to be leading the next stage of its expansion in the US. The opportunity for growth here in New York is exciting, given the firm’s strong international presence. The expertise of lawyers across the network is exceptional, and the firm structure provides attorneys a level of autonomy that is different from a traditional law firm. I’m thrilled to continue that expansion into New York.”

Mitchell is joined in the US team by Gitta Altmann, an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer admitted as an Attorney at Law in New York with almost three decades of experience acting for international clients.
