Nirav Shah is a Partner in the Real Estate team, bringing extensive experience across a wide range of property and real estate matters. In particular, Nirav acts for lenders on private short-term secured finance transactions, as well as acting on other commercial property transactions.
Nirav spent 16 years at a boutique West-End law firm, where he built a strong reputation for his technical expertise and client-focused approach, before moving to Harold Benjamin, to gain more exposure to secured lending transactions. Nirav’s problem-solving ethos, depth of knowledge and pragmatic style, together with the ability to tap into an extensive network of other professionals, make him a trusted adviser to his clients.

- Acted for a private lender to complete a £1m+ bridge finance transaction within 48 hours to stave off the appointment of receivers against the borrower’s property
- Acted for a major tourism company in relation to the taking of commercial leases for their new depot and offices, followed by agreeing the terms of licences to alter, a substation lease and a deed of part surrender
- Acted for a private lender to complete a £1.7m+ bridge finance transaction, secured against a multi-million GDV development site, to enable the borrower to continue negotiations with its lead commercial tenant
- Acted for a UK family on a £6m+ bank refinance of 25 different residential units
- Acted for an overseas HNW on the sale of a £7.4 million Kensington flat via the sale of the BVI holding company
