Contact Mary
Mary qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Her early career was focussed primarily on the entertainment industry, and clients range from recording artists, producers and writers to record companies and TV channels.
In addition to entertainment and intellectual property contract work, Mary has a great deal of experience in the commercial sector and advises regularly on company and shareholder transactions and disputes, as well as general legal and business affairs.
A few years into qualifying, Mary started volunteering at a local school for excluded students, a sector she has become passionate about and, in recent years, she has expanded her practice to provide legal services for charities and not-for profit organisations working with young people and vulnerable adults.
Mary's Experience
- Dealing with the legal and business affairs for record label from company set-up to signing artists and clearing rights prior to album release
- Acting for charity client in acquisition of care home business from company administrators
- Successfully challenging liquidator of a large Catholic charity in dispute arising over entitlement to assets in a charity merger transaction
Outside work, Mary often volunteers at local youth and community initiatives where she lives in West London.
