Kate undertakes a wide range of corporate and commercial work, but has a particular focus on the SME sector; acting for entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses in addition to both Business Angel and Private Equity investors.
With solid legal experience gained at Osborne Clarke, Kate took up the challenge of joining a business start-up in a joint legal and commercial role. From start-up, she used her legal knowledge to negotiate commercial agreements with leading suppliers and retailers. With growth underpinned, these robust agreements proved key in securing an exit.
This day to day experience of running and growing a business now enables Kate to deliver practical and relevant legal advice that assists directors, managers and investors in capturing value, securing growth, minimising risk and achieving successful outcomes.
Kate has extensive experience across a number of business sectors including retail, wholesale, multi-channel retailing, distribution, logistics, ecommerce & digital media, IT, entertainment & TV production and Tech/BioTech. Specific legal experience includes equity funding rounds, shareholders agreements, MBO’s, company and business sales and acquisitions, through to a wide range of commercial contracts: distribution agreements, franchise agreements, general terms and conditions and general commercial contracts.
