John Dormer trained and qualified at Eversheds before moving to work within KPMG’s Performance and Reward team. More recently he was an Equity Partner at a large regional law firm and latterly led the 10-strong share schemes practice at a specialist employee ownership business.
John has over 25 years’ experience advising on the structuring and design, implementation, maintenance and maturity of share and cash-based incentives.
John’s particular interest is in understanding each company’s and their stakeholders’ objectives and aligning appropriate incentive arrangements to match those goals.
John advises on the key commercial, tax and legal issues associated with incentive plans. As well as supporting management teams, his corporate clients have ranged from start-ups, UK growth-stage and mature businesses, family owned-companies and FTSE listed companies operating share plans in multiple jurisdictions.
