Claire Morris qualified in March 2008 and is an experienced commercial property partner. Claire trained and qualified with a regional law firm spending 18 years gaining a wide range of experience across a broad range of areas within the commercial property specialisation.
Claire has a wealth of experience acting for landlords and tenants, dealing with site acquisitions and disposals, development agreements, option agreements, easements, s.106 agreements and real estate aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals. Claire also has experience of secured lending.
Claire acts for a range of clients, most of whom are within the SME sector, who appreciate Claire’s clear and pragmatic advice in relation to their property matters.
Claire's Experience
- Acting for a developer acquiring complex brownfield sites and the subsequent phased sale of the remediated sites with planning consent to housing developers. A recent acquisition was for circa £15 million.
- Acting for several local well known builders merchants dealing with their site acquisitions/disposals and landlord and tenant work.
- Acting for numerous regional and national businesses dealing with their landlord and tenant work.
- Acting on the property aspect of corporate restructures and sales/acquisitions. Recent transactions have involved the transfer of portfolios of properties following restructures to enable clients to benefit from more beneficial tax regimes.
Claire enjoys going to the gym and regularly work out 4-5 times a week. She also enjoys being outdoors and the summer will find her out on the water as much as possible, whilst during the winter she enjoys long walks with my dogs and skiing.
She has twin boys who are talented rugby players and so she spends a huge amount of time standing on the side of rugby pitches either watching her boys play or watching Sale Sharks.
