Excello Law Welcomes Litigation Partner Richard Mackichan-Burke

Excello Law is pleased to announce that Richard Mackichan-Burke has joined the firm as a Litigation Partner.

Richard brings a wealth of experience in litigation and data protection, having worked across a broad range of disputes for individuals, businesses, schools, and charities. He began his legal career in property litigation before expanding into general litigation, with a particular focus on high-value hacking and data breach claims. Before qualifying as a lawyer in 2013, Richard spent ten years as a programmer, giving him a unique technical insight into complex legal matters.

Richard joins Excello Law from Bath-based firm Mowbray Woodwards. Speaking about his move, he said:

“I am delighted to join Excello Law. The firm offered me the opportunity to return to work in a staged way, building my practice on my own terms without the immediate pressure of a more traditional setup. I had also heard very positive feedback from colleagues who had joined and was looking for a role that provided flexibility, the ability to focus on the work I enjoy, and the freedom to deliver the level of client care that is important to me.”

Excello Law’s innovative consultant model provides experienced lawyers with the support, flexibility, and autonomy to shape their own practice while delivering the highest standards of client service.

Jo Losty, Chief Operating Officer at Excello Law, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Richard to the firm. His expertise in litigation and data protection, combined with his background in IT, makes him a valuable addition to our team. We look forward to supporting him as he builds his practice at Excello.”
