Excello Law rolls out national growth strategy as new office opens in Leicester

Excello Law has opened an office in Leicester city centre at 5 Museum Square boosting its national network to nine locations. The opening follows the recent recruitment of new real estate, family and dispute resolution teams in the region and reflects the unprecedented growth of the firm during the pandemic.

The opening of the new Leicester office follows the launch of Excello’s Birmingham office in 2019 and heralds an ambitious growth strategy to bring the fee share, consultant lawyer model to additional legal hubs across the UK, and to provide first-class facilities for its team of 35+ lawyers now working across the Midlands.

Recruitment director Joanne Losty said: “Predictions show that dispersed model firms like ours will be leading a recruitment wave in the legal profession over the next five years.  We’ve been working this way for over a decade and have developed a ‘best of breed’ support infrastructure, including experienced secretarial, paralegal, finance and IT services, for consultant lawyers so they hit the ground running when they join us.

“We’ve recently welcomed real estate lawyers Satpaul Dard and Anil Kumar, family lawyer Swati Somaiyar, dispute resolution specialist John Gordon, and franchise specialist Gurmeet Jakhu to our Midlands team in recent months.  The pandemic has demonstrated to lawyers that they can achieve the best of both worlds – whether hybrid or fully agile working – and we’re putting in place the facilities to give them complete freedom to work when and where they want to.”

Midlands regional director Richard Osborn commented: “Having opened our office and grown in Birmingham over the last two years, our expansion across the region has continued apace and our opening of the Leicester office demonstrates our commitment to the East Midlands.

“I am pleased to see the strength of new recruits joining us who are already well known in the Leicester market and have no doubt that both clients and lawyers are seeing the benefits of working with a leading new-model, disruptor law firm such as Excello Law.”

Excello Law will be targeting key regional hubs during 2021 to bring on board new consultant lawyers and provide additional facilities including in the North West – with a new office base just opened in Manchester – the North East centred around Newcastle and Durham, Bristol and the South West and along the South coast around Southampton and Portsmouth.
