Excello Law Founder George Bisnought Reflects on an Exceptional Year at the Firm

Sixteen years on from its foundation, 2025 marked a defining year for Excello Law as the firm reached new heights and delivered a series of significant strategic milestones.

Over the past 12 months, Excello extended its international footprint, launching offices in Dubai and the United States, followed by our expansion into Northern Ireland. These developments reflect the strength and scalability of Excello’s model, which is built on providing outstanding lawyers with the freedom, support and infrastructure to achieve their professional ambitions. It is a model that continues to prove its relevance and effectiveness across borders.

We are grateful to J. Paul Gignac, Sujith Mathew, Richard Ding, Mr Abdelaziz and Gregory Martin for their leadership and commitment in helping bring Excello to these exciting new jurisdictions.

This year also saw Excello Law recognised in The Lawyer Top 200 rankings for the first time, debuting at #134, a milestone that reflects the firm’s continued focus on quality, performance and reputation. During 2025, we were pleased to welcome 45 new lawyers across the UK, USA and UAE. Our growth remains deliberate and values-led, prioritising excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement rather than expansion for its own sake.

Excello’s House of Brands continued to evolve, with more lawyers choosing to build their own individually branded practices within the firm’s network. In 2025, Ocean Legal, Elevate Legal, G&G Law and Three Points Law joined Excello, bringing the total number of new brands added this year to 14.

Community and connection remain central to the Excello culture. Our Excello Inspire programme delivered a varied calendar of events throughout the year, including regional lunches, the popular Golf Hackers Day, a visit to the Boodles Tennis tournament, and a series of informative webinars. We were also delighted to welcome a number of inspirational speakers as part of Excello Inspires and Legal Entrepreneur Weeks, including Levi Roots, Hannah Cockroft, Byron Morrison and Bernard Savage.

We also proudly celebrated a group of lawyers who reached ten years with Excello, marking the occasion with a special lunch at Claridge’s in recognition of their commitment and contribution. These moments underline the importance of community, collaboration and shared success across the firm.

All of this progress is made possible by our exceptional lawyers and business services professionals, including our 360, cashiers, finance, compliance, IT, wellbeing and HR teams, who together make Excello a truly distinctive place to practise law.

Looking ahead to 2026, the ambition remains unchanged, to continue demonstrating that legal practice can be done differently, delivering meaningful benefits for both lawyers and their clients.

We enter the new year with confidence, momentum and gratitude, and look forward to building on this success in the years ahead.
