Private client lawyer Abigail Howson, who specialises in all aspects of private client work including wills, trusts, LPAs, Court of Protection applications and estate planning & administration, has joined national firm Excello Law. Based in Bedford, she joined from a position as head of private client at Heald Solicitors LLP.
Qualifying in 2005, she is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and qualified as a notary public in 2019. In recent years she has worked with a number of commercial clients planning their personal lives and business successions.
On joining the firm, Abigail said: “Excello gives me the ability to control how, when and for whom I work; not just having to take the next piece of work because it takes a slice off the fee target. Here I can set the fee structure direct with my clients and this is a much healthier way to do business. Everyone I spoke to within the firm, or externally about Excello, praised it highly – so here I am!”
Joanne Losty, director at Excello, said: “Abigail joins a rapidly expanding team across the country as our innovative and fully agile business model continues to attract senior lawyers looking for greater flexibility, but also wanting to focus all their time on looking after their clients. We are delighted to welcome her to the firm.”
