Excello welcomes corporate partner Jennifer Donohue and litigator Mark Rondel

New partners Jennifer Donohue and Mark Rondel have joined Excello Law, strengthening the firm’s corporate and litigation teams respectively.

Jennifer Donohue joins Excello from another fee-share firm, Keystone Law. She is a lawyer, notary public, archaeologist and mathematician, whose practice focuses on legal and technical developments in the financial services markets, including generative AI, digital assets and decentralised finance.

She previously served as senior legal adviser to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, representing the UK at the United Nations, UNCITRAL, UNIDROIT and the European Union.

Jennifer acts for insurers, brokers, banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, P&I clubs and other financial institutions, delivering transactional and structuring solutions. She also advises on regulatory capital and financing.

Mark Rondel joins from Shakespeare Martineau, where he was a partner in the Dispute Resolution team. He is a 35-year qualified Dispute Resolution solicitor, recognised in the Legal 500. He trained, qualified and was retained as a partner at a niche London litigation practice, and has since held partner roles at Stewarts Law LLP, Picton Howell LLP and EMW Law LLP.

His focus is on corporate disputes, acting for clients across a broad range of sectors, from PLCs to SMEs, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. Mark’s main areas of expertise include shareholder disputes, including unfair prejudice proceedings, warranty claims, professional negligence claims against a variety of professionals, and general contractual claims covering breach of contract, breach of confidence, partnership disputes, and declaratory relief and judicial review proceedings.

Excello Law is rapidly growing its corporate and commercial litigation teams in London and across the UK. The firm scores rankings for both departments in the latest edition of The Legal 500, recognising the best solicitors in the market.
