Husband-and-Wife Legal Team Sarah Oakley and Mark Oakley Join Excello Law

Excello Law is delighted to welcome Sarah Oakley, an experienced Dispute Resolution Partner, who has joined the firm alongside her husband Mark Oakley, marking a new chapter in their legal careers as a husband-and-wife team.

Based in Bournemouth, Sarah brings a wealth of expertise in commercial and private litigation, with a particular focus on property disputes. Over the course of her career, she has acted for both commercial and private clients in matters ranging from contested lease renewals and dilapidations to rent arrears, forfeiture, and residential possession claims under sections 8 and 21. She also provides expert advice on freehold and leasehold matters, including service charge disputes, right to manage claims, and enfranchisement.

In addition, Sarah is highly regarded for her work in TOLATA cases, supporting clients through disputes between unmarried couples with empathy and precision.

Mark will support Sarah in a paralegal capacity, while also contributing to marketing, business development, and non-contentious legal work.

Sarah and Mark’s decision to join Excello Law was driven by the firm’s unique structure and values. Speaking about the move, Sarah said:

“I joined Excello Law because of its unique combination of independence and collaboration. The firm’s flexible approach allows me to provide top-quality legal advice. Excello’s focus on innovation and work-life balance also aligns perfectly with my values, offering the perfect environment for both personal and professional growth.”

Reflecting on the benefits of working as a consultant lawyer, Sarah added:

“For me, being a consultant lawyer is about providing clarity and confidence where complexity exists. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate uncertainty, not just with legal expertise, but with practical, tailored advice that empowers better decision-making. Ultimately, I see my role as a partner in helping clients move forward with confidence, knowing they’re on the right path.”
