Emilda has worked as a solicitor across Yorkshire and Derbyshire since qualifying in 1993. Throughout her career, she has built extensive experience in private client work, having trained, developed and managed teams delivering a wide range of services. She values the opportunity to further develop her specialist knowledge within a firm that prioritises high-quality, client-focused advice.
She has been a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2002 and acts as a trustee for a number of trusts. Emilda specialises in estate administration, will drafting, and tax planning, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax issues affecting trusts and estates. Her expertise also covers the establishment and management of trusts (including personal injury trusts), Court of Protection matters, enduring and lasting powers of attorney, property-related work, asset protection, and advice for elderly clients.
Outside of work, Emilda enjoys collecting shoes, reading and attending the theatre. She is also proud of her Malaysian heritage and enjoys sharing it through her passion for cooking and promoting Malaysian cuisine.
