Excello Law Strengthens Northern Ireland Team with Appointment of David Wilson

Excello Law has welcomed David Wilson as a new partner in its Northern Ireland practice, marking a significant step in the firm’s continued growth in Belfast.

Mr Wilson, a property specialist with over two decades of experience, joins Excello’s expanding real estate team led by Gregory Martin, the firm’s Northern Ireland managing partner. His appointment coincides with the expansion of the firm’s Belfast city centre office, just one year after its formal opening.

Well-regarded for his expertise in landlord and tenant matters as well as the acquisition and disposal of office blocks, retail parks, warehouses, and landed estates, Mr Wilson acts for high street retailers, institutions, developers, and private clients. Recent high-profile work includes advising on the sale of the Delacherois Estate in Donaghadee, Co. Down, to leading house developer Lotus Homes for a seven-figure sum. The transaction involved lands with planning approval for residential development, a historic manor house, a market house, and agricultural and zoned lands.

He has also acted for cosmetics retailer Lush in the leasehold acquisition of its flagship Belfast store and in lease re-gears across the company’s Ireland-wide portfolio.

Commenting on his move, Mr Wilson said:
“I joined Excello to give me the autonomy to develop my practice while working in a collegiate environment with a strong support network. The firm’s fee-share model provides an ideal platform to build my practice and collaborate with quality colleagues.”

Gregory Martin added:
“We are very pleased to welcome David Wilson into our real estate team as we continue to expand in Northern Ireland. In the year since launching our Belfast office, our team has grown, with further announcements to follow later this year.”

Excello Law launched in Northern Ireland in January 2025 and now operates across the UK, with offices in Dubai and the USA. The firm’s model allows lawyers in Ireland and Northern Ireland to run their own practice with full operational support, leveraging a multinational referral network and the expertise of colleagues worldwide.

The Belfast office, located at Eagle Star House, has recently expanded its space to accommodate the growing team. This growth comes on the back of a record annual turnover of £30.5 million in 2025, a 26.6% increase year-on-year, representing 170% growth over the past three years.
