Specialist in Employment
Chris undertakes a wide range of contentious and non-contentious work in all aspects of employment law, and is highly experienced in advising a wide range of clients – from multinational companies to SMEs and individuals on various matters, including: share and business sale / purchases; TUPE, settlement agreements, senior executive terminations / exit strategies, restructures, whistleblowing, international assignments, employment tribunal litigation. He is also skilled in delivering bespoke training programmes to clients.

Legal 500 2017 described Chris as ‘one to watch’, ‘friendly’ and ‘fiercely fights his clients’ corner extremely well’.

Chris is not only an excellent lawyer who I very much enjoy working with, but he is very personable, approachable, commercial, straight talking and gets the job done! He’s a problem solver with a great sense of humour. I know when I contact him he gives me straight answers. He also has a calming influence when we are faced with complex employment issues. What I also like about Chris is that he is not your typical lawyer; he is genuinely interested in our business and how it operates, and I very much see him as part of the team who works closely with us to find solutions to problems we are faced with. He will not hedge his bets and ensures that I have workable and concise solutions to the issues I went to him for help with.
I have worked closely with Chris for several years across a number of complex cases and he is extremely personable yet commercially aware. Chris has a client focused approach and always tailors his legal advice taking into account the unique circumstances associated with our industry and organisation. In addition to the excellent legal advice, Chris also delivered exceptional and bespoke Disciplinary/Grievance and Performance Management training to our management teams.
