Emilda has practised in Sheffield since qualifying in 1993 and is also a registered estates and trusts practitioner (STEP).
She has been a partner in three Sheffield firms and, before joining Excello Law, was integral in growing the Probate and Estate Planning offering in Sheffield for the Co-op Legal Services
Experienced in estate administration, preparation of wills, tax advice including inheritance tax (IHT) planning, capital gains tax and income tax for trusts and estates, creation and administration of trusts (including personal injury trusts), Court of Protection and enduring/lasting powers of attorney, asset preservation and general elderly care advice.
She is also experienced in residential property work, mainly probate or attorney sales and declaration of trusts.
Over the years, Emilda has been involved in presenting seminars and talks on topics such as inheritance tax planning, importance of wills and tidying up personal affairs, long term care issues, preservation of assets through family trusts and Local Authority funding.
Emilda is a trustee of several trusts, attorney and deputy to clients.
When not working, Emilda enjoys the theatre and plays the occasional game of golf (fair weather only). Originally from Malaysia, Emilda also enjoys cooking food from her homeland as Malaysian restaurants are few and far between in Derbyshire!
