Our property development team has wide-ranging experience across all aspects of planning, land acquisition and disposal, environment and finance acting for private and public sector developers and private landowners.

  • Effective structuring of the transaction, including property development vehicles, joint ventures, corporate structures, limited liability partnerships and tax advice
  • Acquisition of strategic land including options, promotion agreements and hybrid arrangements together with collaborative working where sites are shared
  • Planning promotion, planning applications, appeals and environmental assessment
  • Drafting and negotiating property development agreements, funding agreements, forward funding arrangements, construction contracts, consultant appointments and warranties
  • Managing ecological and nature conservation issues and environmental risk
  • Preparing commercial and residential plot sales documentation
  • Working with Community Land Trusts providing bespoke housing in rural areas, as well as acting for private landowners, private and public sector developers, real estate developers and registered providers of social housing covering land acquisitions, joint venture projects, land promotion, regeneration schemes and alternative deal structures
  • Property dispute resolution, litigation and managing the fall-out from insolvency
