WIBA23 will celebrate the finest female-led businesses, the established and up-and-coming entrepreneurs, and the women who make the most valuable contribution to the growth of the Liverpool City Region economy.
Sarah has 15 years’ expertise with a focus on contentious insolvency matters both corporate and personal, complex contractual disputes, largescale litigation involving multiple parties (including group litigation), director disqualification proceedings and applications for injunctive relief. She listed in the Legal 500 2023 directory, along with colleague Dominic McGinn, for her commercial litigation expertise.
In May 2013, she was appointed as a senior lawyer and team leader representing 20 of the bereaved families in the Hillsborough Disaster Inquest proceedings and worked exclusively on Hillsborough for a period of 3 years with a verdict of unlawful killing being returned in April 2016. Since moving to Excello Law, she has been regularly involved in heavyweight litigation cases including acting for multiple claimants in the Volkswagen NOx emissions group litigation.
George Bisnought, managing director at Excello Law, said: “This is well-deserved recognition for Sarah and we’re delighted she has been shortlisted. WIBA is always a great day of celebration and gives the city an opportunity to acknowledge the brilliant female talent across the city region. Congratulations to everyone on the shortlist.”
