Senior family lawyer, Lindsay Yateman, joins Excello NW team

Lindsay Yateman - Excello LawLindsay Yateman, a senior family lawyer, has joined Excello Law’s Liverpool office from Hillyer McKeown where she was head of department and a partner.  She has previously worked as a partner at Brabners in Liverpool and at Storrar Cowdry in Chester.

Lindsay undertakes the full range of family law work including divorce, separation and dissolution of civil partnerships, often dealing with complex, high net worth divorces where there are frequently overseas assets, private companies, trusts and pensions, as well as financial settlements – including maintenance, property orders and pension sharing; co-habitation agreements, children cases, pre and post-nuptial arrangements and collaborative law.

For those clients who are keen to avoid conflict and willing to negotiate their own arrangements, Lindsay cites mediation and collaborative law as a more positive and less stressful way of dealing with family break-ups: “These services support clients to sit around the table and negotiate their own settlements. We find that couples can often resolve their disputes and achieve a solution which best suits them without recourse to the family courts and proves beneficial all round.”

George Bisnought, founder and MD of Excello Law, welcomed Lindsay to the firm: “Lindsay brings substantial experience of family law, complementing our private client legal services across the north west.  As a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer, she is committed to dispute resolution and providing the highest standards of service for her clients.”

Lindsay lives in Chester and is a committee member of Cheshire Resolution and Cheshire Collaborative Family Group.  She assisted in the relaunching of the Liverpool Ladies Network, and is a committee member of Cheshire and North Wales Lady Taverners.
